Following a meeting with the Environmental Agency and Moyle District Council a request has been made to address damage to the Northern corner of the boundary wall at Bonamargy Friary. The issue of overgrown ivy on the perimeter wall will also be addressed.
Independent Councillor Padraig Mc Shane welcomed the decision saying;
“Not only is Bonamargy Friary an iconic part of our built heritage locally but it is also a graveyard an as such needs cared for in a manner befitting this status”.
The work will be funded through the Conservation Volunteers Budget.
